The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit (and When to Stick) by Seth Godin

3.0

Short version: Although poorly organized this book is short enough that it is still worth investing a few hours to read it. To have any effect on your life it will be up to the reader to spend the days or weeks contemplating and acting on any decisions made as an outcome.

The underlying message and guidance to evaluate the situation that is causing you to question persevering or quitting contains some wisdom. However, the way the book is organized and written is scattered and difficult to follow. Although I've never written a book I can agree with Seth Godin's assertion that writing a short book is tough. However, in this case he succeeded at shortening the content but could have organized it differently to more effectively communicate the theory and guidance.
