I had to wait in the library holds queue for this one. Boo.
But I SURE DID ENJOY IT once it finally dropped! This was good. I devoured it and would happily take another sixteen just like it. Yet again, I enjoy Skyward stories that follow the "main" Detritus crew more than Spensa's gallivanting. Everyone was good. The slugs are, as always, great. The action was fast, and nobody cracked too many jokes.
The only bit that wobbles is [Cobb making Jorgen admiral (hide spoiler)] but given the context and Detritus's relatively limited pool of qualified people, it almost stands up under scrutiny. Regardless, it's all fun, and I have GREAT hopes of enjoying the finale once the whole gang gets back together to take on the Superiority.
