Daisy Miller by Henry James
3.0

This book has been called a novella because it’s very short at about 120 pages. It was published in 1879. Despite its age, the story focuses on an issue that’s still relevant today…being different is OK. It’s a story about Daisy Miller, a beautiful young America woman who enjoys flirting, talking, and hanging out with men she meets in Switzerland and Italy. Her actions are seen by others as not appropriate and unsophisticated. But you gotta love Daisy because she doesn’t care what others think! It’s an odd story, yet I’m still glad I read it. Thank you Debra Blackwell for recommending it. I give it 3 of 5 stars.
