Tiernan’s very famous parents die just shortly before her eighteenth birthday. She should be heartbroken and depressed but instead she just feels empty inside.

Her step-uncle becomes Tiernan’s guardian until she becomes of age. She’s never met him or his two sons and doesn’t really have any desire to go into the mountains of Colorado to live with them for two months. But, she also wants to run away from the paparazzi and crazy world that her parents loved.

Tiernan’s time in the mountains will totally change her. She will have to read people and learn to trust her gut. She won’t always do that very well but if she wants the first thaw of spring to save her she’ll have to get better at it.

What a wild ride! I didn’t hate it at all. This book may be a bit polarizing for some but it is such a good read. I wasn’t sure where we were going to end up or how we were going to get there but I knew I’d be clutching my pearls all the way there.
