Feels Like Home by Melissa Grace

Words cannot say how excited I was to get a super early ARC of this book! And I was not disappointed one single bit. I felt all the feels with this one. Finally getting Dallas and Katie's story was everything I hoped for.

We all knew that something was going on with Katie's health, especially after the last book, Long Way Home. Much of this book revolves around Katie's budding relationship with Dallas, and her journey to get answers about her health condition. I really appreciate Melissa's ability to craft these characters and their lives and incorporate these real life issues into a love story. It makes you feel so connected to the characters, like you're their best friend, and you want to reach through the pages and give them a big hug.

I breathed the biggest sigh of relief and maybe shouted "FINALLY" when Dallas and Katie finally get together. It's been a long time coming! Their relationship is sweet. I love how attentive Dallas is, and how much affection he has for Katie. He's got total golden retriever vibes in that he just wants to make the people important in his life happy and will do anything to go out of his way to help them.

Without spoiling anything major, Katie does get her diagnosis about halfway through the book. I had tears in my eyes because I felt like I was getting this news for my own best friend. I just felt devastated for her. But of course, Katie is fiercely independent. I love that she never wavers in believing in herself. She is strong in her mind, body and soul, and determined to live her best life. She goes after what she wants and won't let her illness stop her. I could only hope to be like her if I went through the same thing.

I felt ALL of the feels with this book. The highs and lows, the anticipation of things to come, the found family, and the just absolute love these characters have for one another. I 1000000% recommend this series (read it in order), and am already anxiously awaiting the end of it with Luca's story because I'll be so happy to finally learn more about him but sad that the series will end; I'm already not ready for that!

*I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
