This was a sweet romance following Callum and Lark. Lark is a grieving widow who moves to Ireland for a job. She accidentally ends up receiving an order of body bags meant for the mortuary next door. Callum is the owner, a demisexual Irishman with a stutter and (it appears to me) some social anxiety.

*spoilers*

This book had quite a few laugh out loud moments, mostly in the first half of the novel. The second half really amps up the drama after they *get it out of their systems* (which OBVIOUSLY works!!!) and fight their feelings for each other. Oh and the dirty talk in another language was 😏.

Really enjoyed the side characters in this one and the honest discussions of grief. I felt really angry on Lark’s behalf at work regarding the actions of one of the employees and I felt miserable for how she was treated by him. Loved how that ended up though!

It appears this will be a series and is Cielo the next one?? Seems like fun…

Very sweet grand gesture at the end. Loved Callum’s proposal even if it failed, lol it was still beautiful! But the dual grand gesture (the cartoon and the drawings) was *chef’s kiss.*

A quick, fun read!
