More mysteries and secrets carefully wrapped in magic and legends

What a ride! At first, I was afraid that it might be redundant since it was the same concept as the first one. However, since we follow a different sister and the whole goal is different, it didn't feel repetitive. I'm honestly amazed by the capacity the author has to make me question everything all the time. Each time I thought I knew something, I ended up rethinking it at least three times before the truth was revealed. Some things were predictable, yes, but the atmosphere of Caraval doesn't allow the reader to be certain of anything and therefore, it didn't feel predictable at all. As usual, the characters are carefully built and very convincing.

Anyway, I just loved it, it might be my favorite series yet.
