This was... okay. I enjoyed it, but did I enjoy it as much as 90% of the internet told me I would? No. The story was fun, and I loved the fantasy parts, much to my surprise because dragons have actually never really been my thing, but the romance was just not it. Which is kind of a problem considering this is a fantasy romance.
I don't know, I liked the main characters, but not enough to make this that memorable, and I definitely didn't like them as a couple. They could grow on me, but as of now, I just don't feel the chemistry.
Also, the characters in general are kind of lacking. I'm a character girl, if I'm not in love with at least 3 of the characters in a fantasy book, there's a bit of a problem. The end of the book gives me a bit of hope because it seems like we're going to be introduced to some new people, so let's see, I guess...
The ending was fun, and is probably what will motivate me to read the next book when it comes out. Kind of predictable because there was a ton of foreshadowing, but entertaining nonetheless!
