More Than Words by Mia Sheridan

"Live fiercely and without regret."

I'm still a sobbing mess, typing this review. I just finished this beautiful book and I just don't know the right words to describe it.

Mia Sheridan, you are a gem in this world. Your words broke me open, hurt me, shattered me, stitched me up and filled me with so much love! HOW DO YOU DO THIS? EVERY FCKING TIME!

Mia writes with so much raw emotion. Callen is such a flawed character but you cannot help but emphatize with him. All throughout reading, I just wanted to hug him so close and tell him he's so worth it and that he deserves all the love he keeps on pushing away. He's a broken man who just needed a validation that he is important too. Callen experienced all sorts of abuse from his father because he has a learning disability and couldn't read. He has always thought that there was no hope for him but God found a way to help him in his worst times through Jessie.
Oh, I cried a bucket with his realization. That part when he was crying so hard and asking God why he never helped him when he asked him to, then he realized that God have sent Jessie to help him learn his god-given talent, his music. And most of all, to share with him her friendship and love. I truly love how Mia incorporated this in the book. I love how this book taught us about how God works and how fate leads us. This made me want to relish my faith.

Jessie. Jessie had my heart from the beginning. I love her. I love how she loves unconditionally. I love her passion and her words. I love how she sees Callen and how patient she was with him. I love how she never judged him and saw the good in him when no one, even him, can. I love how she helped him realized that he needed to save himself because some battles are fought alone. I love how she inspired him to want to live a better life.

Also, I really enjoyed the parts she translated on Adelaide's story. I'm not sure if those parts have been fictional too. I'd have to research it right after this "too long" review. But I really, really admired Jehanne and Adelaide from the bit we were given. I hoped we got more about them.

I have so much to say about how and why I love this book! I cannot write a right and worthy review even if my life depended on it. I just hope that you, yes, whoever you are that spent the time reading this review, I hope you read this book so you would know exactly what I mean! MIA SHERIDAN, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART! ❤
