Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis

4.0

Harrow Lake was fun to read, eerie and atmospheric, and times quite creepy!
The protagonist, Lola was a bit annoying, and at times her actions and the ways in which she responded to situations and problem solved (or didn't) lacked credibility. She wasn't super believable and at points, I actually hoped she would get taken and die because her naivety was so frustrating.
However, I loved the structure of the way it was written, and although the characters didn't always interact organically, it was an enjoyable read.

About halfway through I could not put it down. It got very spooky and I loved that. The plot and the ending were also unexpected!
