Oh my god I was bawling during the last pages. This book is one of the best pieces I've ever read. There's a doble perspective that really lets you get into both characters' minds and fully understand them. Maybe this is why some people find it boring? I have no clue, but getting into the inner monologues puts the realism into "magical realism". Everything is so raw and 100% how it'd go if time-travellers existed. 
Absolute masterpiece, be ready to have your heart shattered and then fixed then shattered again.
