I'm not used to reading short stories or novellas (this one is about 95 pages, so I think it's a novelette?) but this one was pretty good! It took me a few pages to get used to the writing style, but after that I was intrigued. Even though the plot feels very simple at first, the ending definitely shows how complex stories can be, even when they are just a 100 pages long.
Ik lees nauwelijks short stories of novellas (dit boek is ongeveer 95 bladzijdes, dus volgens mij is het een novelette in het Engels?) maar deze was best wel goed! Ik had even nodig voordat ik gewend was aan de schrijfstijl, maar daarna was ik echt wel geïnteresseerd. De verhaallijn lijkt erg simpel in het begin maar het einde laat duidelijk zien hoe complex verhalen kunnen zijn, zelfs als ze maar 100 bladzijdes lang zijn.
