“No one loves anything they’re miserably chained to. But you own the key to your own lock and don’t you forget it. Set yourself free for a while and that love will come back, just you watch.”

My introduction to a Sarah Adams book and it did not disappoint. I heard some bad reviews for The Cheat Sheet and that’s why I haven’t tried her books up until now. Saw lots of praises for Practice Makes Perfect and I wanted to read that but then I found out it was a sequel to this book so I just had to read this first and I’m glad I did because this I’m living for this trope too!

I love Amelia and Noah together especially since their romance built up a lot throughout the story. There's just something about small town story locations that just pulls me in because there's a lot more people involved, not just the two MCs, and it's very important to note this since it's one of the key component of how they got together. Amelia is one unique girl, given the fact that she's a pop star celebrity and she just went out and go for it. When you're really out of it, just do what makes you happy. A change of pace might be a good thing for your health, once in a while. It's such a lucky coincidence too that she ended up with Noah, a grumpy-not-looking-for-a-relationship guy, because they are meant-to-be right from the get-go. They're the type of couple you'd love to see have a happy ending, which, spoiler alert, they did, lol. As much as they both not want to be in a relationship with each other, it's just fated that they do be together! Everybody can see that they're end game.

One thing I love is the connection between the siblings. I didn't expect the next book would be about Annie. I can't wait for Emily's story since she's the one who put Noah in his place at the end! I wanted to slap Noah during those pages but I controlled myself.

To be honest, I could have given this a 5 stars but after reading lots of romance book this past few months, I knew it was a little below it. But definitely a good read tho! I've been reading lots of spicy romance book recently too so I thought that this would be the same and I was shocked that it wasn't spicy at all!
It had the forecasting of them sleeping together but then it would be boom, next day!
I can definitely recommend to my younger cousins too! Sexual content only at 1/2 - 1 out of 5.
