Book Lovers by Emily Henry

This was one of those books that you know from the beginning that your going to love. This was my first book of Emily Henry’s and to say this book lived up to the hype is a understatement. I’m not usually as invested in a relationship as I was with this book. When I stopped reading all I could think about was when do I get to start reading it again.
I liked that there was a sister and family relationship to this other than just the main relationship itself. I loved the sister dynamic about how the older sister and younger sister relationship is displayed, how the older sister is usually the one who looks out for the younger ones and the younger one is less strict and more “do whatever I feel like.”
I feel like this took a twist on the “small town romance” trope because they don’t live in Sunshine Falls like most protagonists in other small town romance books do. Instead they live in a big city like New York and that’s where they first meet, but they end up meeting in Sunshine Falls where Charlie lives and Nora’s on vacation. I liked that Nora and Charlie were so similar because with most love interests they’re the complete opposite. I feel like this flipped the opposite attracts thing up on its head. I think some parts of this book could have maybe been a little bit better. I felt like the who list thing with Libby and Nora never got finished and I honestly wanted to see it finished. I also feel like the ending was a bit rushed and they didn’t wrap all the lose ends up.
