Leather & Lark
by Brynne Weaver
Okay, I devoured this book. It was fun, and very few things are better than when he says "my wife."
I loved watching Lark and Lachlan's relationship as they begin to shed layers of their armor. For most of the book, Lark just ran circles around poor Lachlan. He was so out of the loop, so when he finally makes a few realizations, I had to cheer because I knew protective Lachlan was about to show up.
There's not as much banter in this book compared to Butcher & Blackbird - I think that makes sense because the main characters aren't flirty rivals, they're two very guarded people doing something to protect their loved ones.
Lark's dark side feels like something she's still figuring out, but Lachlan is along for the ride. I really enjoyed reading their story, and I can't wait for book 3!
