My god, I fucking adored this book!! Defintiely keep in mind that this book has some really specific kinks and also deals with some serious trauma. So it's not for everyone!

Listen, there are some things in here that would definitely bother some people. The biggest thing that comes to mind is that Gale just kind of moves in with Saxton. And there were some specific aspects of age play in here that I'm not the biggest fan of. But I gotta be honest, I didn't care about that AT ALL.

I loved Saxton and Gale as characters. I really really enjoyed how honest they were with each other! Even if it takes them a little sometimes to talk about their issues, they are always honest with each other. There are no annoying miscommunications in here, because they always talk things out. Even when one of them assumes something about the other, they never let it turn into this giant issue between them. They always take the time to sit down and talk and they are just so honest with each other. Sometimes they acknowledge that there are things they are not ready to talk about yet and that's okay too! I also really enjoyed the amount of hurt/comfort in this. I'm always a sucker for that. And since I'm asexual, it was just really nice to read a m/m romance with a relationship that is not based purely on physical attraction.

This is one of the first books I picked from this author and I loved how you got to see so many characters from other books, but not in a confusing way! Every time someone new was introduced I just thought "Oh, I wonder what their story is." and I'm definitely excited to pick up more books from this series and this author.
