My Body by Emily Ratajkowski

4.0

wow, Emily Ratajkowski is a brilliant writer! My Body talks about an alternate reality of the life of Emily as a model in relation to her body; how she capitalizes her body, her struggles with numerous assaults –in which she's bewildered of, and how she grows her son, Sly, with it. The writings of the book are raw and real, at times may even make one cringe. Emily brought up some heartful truth about feminism and the modeling industry, which allows a commoner, like me, who glorifies the world of modeling (how incredible the models always look, the privileges they obtain, the rows of clothes they own, and seemingly easy money), the opportunity to widen their paradigm of such life and to see the truth of cruelty, yet blessings, within the industry.
