The audiobook is about a 3 hour listen, and 100% worth it. Seeing how the characters struggle felt personal. At first, I thought there was too many characters introduce too quickly, and I personally have a hard time connecting to so many at once, but by the end I can see exactly why Orwell wrote it this way. It is important to remember each animal is their own individual, representing how different we all are, how coming together makes us stronger, and how dividing us is what the ones in power really want.
The further in, the harder it is to listen to; I found myself considering today's social climate throughout, and how somethings never seem to change. It is a great book to reflect on, and one I would recommend to anyone getting into political theory and social justice.
