I got this book from my pookie @tbrwarriors, a couple of years ago and I cannot believe I waited so long to pick it up because that was utter magnificence! I am 100% in my Arthurian Legend era, anything to do with Arthur or Merlin or Camelot has me absolutely reeling but this book has to be the best I have read so far!
First of all, this is an intoxicating debut. A DEBUT!!! Keetch's writing is astounding, so lyrical and prolific, I loved her eloquent use of language and the way every sentence felt absorbing. The way she pulled off the world, encompassing all the small details that made it feel right for the century it is told in and yet, allowing for Morgan to pave her own way in a world that saw to punish women who did not know how to be owned.
I loved that Morgan is depicted as a healer, her magic shows great potential for what she could be and I love that she grows into this power. This book was absolutely amazing and actually already finished Le Fay (review to be posted soon because I cannot wait to tell you all what a masterpiece it was)!
