This story follows a single dad who is now a coach for TSW but instead meets his college crush/ex-best friend from years ago. I have read some of Devney’s books in the past and really enjoyed them and this one is really up there. I was hooked on the first page and loved the way the author grasped for my attention. The storyline was well done and I loved the conflicts that were in the book. I loved the college setting and seeing the potential of a new world starting for this series. There were so many memorable moments in this book and it was such a fun read. This book is told from both Millie and Ford’s pov.

Millie works for the Wildcats and believes she lost her chance with Ford when he left her. I loved her storyline and seeing her develop throughout this book. I loved seeing her have her second chance at love because she deserves it but girl does she run away half of the time. Ford is the single dad coach who is so caring of his daughter and never wants to leave Millie. I loved him and thought he was such a wonderful guy. There were many side characters in this book that were very well written. Devney did a good job of making me hate Kurt and the ex-wife and making me love Joey. The romance was so cute and I loved the second chance at love for both Ford and Millie. There were some steamy scenes in this small town, forbidden romance, workplace romance love story.

The ending was well done and overall this was such a great book. We get an epilogue 7 years into the future and I loved it. I really enjoyed the story and am excited to check out the next book in this series. This made me want a Ford that will chase his Millie every single time. I recommend checking out this book because you don’t want to miss out on this read.
