The White Queen by Philippa Gregory

5.0

I loved The Other Boleyn Girl and The Boleyn Inheritance and Philippa Gregory has done it again with The White Queen. Her research is what makes her books so enjoyable. I love the way she provides alternate possibilities for the outcome of the Princes in the Tower and the relationship between Richard III and Elizabeth of York. There was a big element of magic in the book because Elizabeth Woodville was said to be descended from Melusina, a water goddess. I really enjoyed reading about her mother Jacquetta and am looking forward to reading The Lady of the Rivers? which I believe is the new book coming out soon.
