A slowly winding horror novel about a family's life on the brink of disaster just as the world also sits on a dystopic future. Their dystopia mirrors much of what the world saw during and since the pandemic: climate disasters, refugee crisis, homelessness, death, illness, and more. These disasters are recounted from afar as the main character and his son watch them unfold on their tv. Intermingled with magical realism or hallucination, the father's imaginary world and the real world begin to blend as dwarfs, imps, and more creatures begin to creep into their lives.
