The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh

adventurous medium-paced

So, real talk? I felt like all the pieces were there to make some magic happen but didn’t click together at all. (Trust me, I’m incredibly sad I didn’t “love-love” this one.) The writing was…kind of boring and a little nonsensical, even with all the worldbuilding elements created. I remember, at 42%, thinking that I wasn’t all that invested and didn’t need to know the ending. *Insert sad face.* And there were several times I had to flip back pages because I was confused where the plot had re-routed to. All in all, what I loved most, was the secondary characters . That is where the book came alive and the reason I ended up landing on 3 stars.
