Perilous Kiss by Tara Sue Me

3.0

When Tilly comes back to town, Keaton cannot hide how he feels for her, no matter how hard he tries.
Having known each other since childhood, Tilly too has feelings for Keaton.
Things turn sinister when somebody is trying to damage Keaton's family and will stop at nothing. Including getting to Tilly first.
What I love about this book is the writing style, the characters are well rounded and the fact that it is a classic friends-to-lovers trope, with a thriller type vein running through it.
There is some spice in this book too, so if that is your thing then perfect. It has the danger element, the will they - won't they confess their feelings for each other vibe going on.
It is a quick read, about 280 pages so you can read this in an evening.
You will turn the pages because like most friends to lovers or similar trop it does keep you going.
What I didn't like about the book. Nothing.
My only missing element was not knowing why Keaton had not decided to keep in touch with Tilly, we didn't get to read a lot about that part of their lives the 8 years that they were separated. However, it isn't really too detracting from the actual story.
This is my first book by the author and I will search out some of her other books.
I did enjoy it and i would recommend it.
