Quicksilver by Callie Hart
2.0
“What are you doing right now?” I asked him.
“Aside from prodding this fire with a stick and reading this?” he asked, holding the book up again. “Nothing much. Why do you ask?”
“Want to come and set fire to some far more exciting things?”
He snapped his book closed with a flourish. “Absolutely, yes.”
As a reader who is, historically, very critical of everything, I have read MANY books I would (unfortunately) consider not good. Of those books, however, there are some that I can rationalize as being Bad Books I Might’ve Enjoyed, if I didn’t have so much to compare them to.
Quicksilver is not one of those books.
Quicksilver… just pisses me off.
It disappoints me in a way that I am certain every variant of me in every parallel dimension would ALSO find disappointing.
But if you have a thing for…

But if you have a thing for…
- Feysand wannabes
- Heroes with criminally unmoanable names and a degradation kink
- Heroines who have to have EVERYTHING spelled out for them
- Irreverent exes who will become the sole reason you finish this, IF you finish this, despite how much you’ll want to punch them at first
This might rev your engine… or whatever.
Idfk. Good luck, ig
