I thought the first book was great, this book was better. While the literary prose left much to be desired with repetitive phrases and non-complex structures are still fell in love with this book. I don’t read romantasy books for their greatness, but rather how entertaining they are and how the love story is told really draw you in. I thought this book really explored poppies level of trauma in a way that the first book didn’t, and you got a real sense that hawk fell for poppy deeply and first. I thought the concept of the joining was hilarious and I definitely want to see that in either books 3 or four.
I’m looking to see where poppies powers can go and how she will influence a story moving forward between the vampri’s and Atalantians. Already looking forward to listening to book 3!!!
