The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing
by Melissa Bank
To be honest, I picked up this book and went into it blindly and assumed it was a memoir of some kind. Stories based on the author's experience with dating. Partly because the stories don't flow into one another and there are huge chunks of time and information missing. Apparently this wasn't a memoir or even based on the author's own experiences, but I still enjoyed it. I think it's a nice book for women in their early twenties to read, when you yourself might be navigating dating and your romantic life. Having said that, I was disappointed it was not a memoir. I wanted to know more about the character's life, like who did she end up with? How was it becoming a mother? Etc. There were many holes in the story. I still enjoyed it so I decided to be generous with the rating.
