This was a good read but wow, it went on way longer than it needed to. It could've been about half the length and been just as good. I probably would've given it a 4-4.5 until the unnecessary drama

of him losing his phone and being blackmailed-- I really thought he was going to tell her he had been r*ped. I also thought his proposal at their friend's wedding was cringey as hell.

Carter really should've been consistently charming and swoony, not such a clown in public (no way would he be like that on the ice as a team captain.) The inconsistency broke any emersion for me.
