clairezel 's review for:
Alice in Wonderland [Adaptation]
by Jane Carruth, Lewis Carroll
This is absolutely one of those books that I adored but wonder what experience I would have had with it had I not watched a thousand movie adaptations of this over the past 27 years. My inclination is that I would love the puns and the odd wit even more that I did, if I had to visually create the mad tea party and the croquet game all in my mind. As it is, the nonsensical nature of the entire book was something I can easily fall in love with. I wish there was a more satisfactory ending though than "and then she woke up."
