Embroideries by Marjane Satrapi

4.0

I really liked this! Satrapi lets you be a fly on the wall as the women "ventilate" their hearts over tea... sometimes gossiping and sometimes revealing long hidden secrets. No subject is taboo which adds to the fun for the women and us lucky readers. I loved Persepolis and bk 2 but for some reason this book didn't show up on my radar. It's just as good-giving you glimpses into Iranian culture and keeping you entertained with these stories of love & loss and lots of sharp humor! And it's a really quick read, perfect for a Sunday morning in bed (which is how I read it!)
