Platonic: How the Science of Attachment Can Help You Make and Keep Friends as an Adult by Marisa G. Franco

hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

4.5

Really well written and informative. Definitely an interesting and reflective read for people who want to focus more on friendships in their life. There were a couple instances about how same-gender friendships changed over time that made wonder if/how we can really tell if friendships just were expressed differently or if the letters indicated a romantic/homosexual love. I couldn't figure out if the book's focus on platonic love conveniently erased the possibility of homosexual romantic love or if that interpretation was backed by science.
Otherwise I think the book had a great ratio of research, anecdotes and reflections.
