I still like the characters, but I wish they took the time to show how their platonic feelings turned romantic before things got sexual. You're telling me this man identified as straight, had a best friend for twenty years who he never had a single second thought about, but the SECOND he lands he is checking out his ass and fantasizing about him?? It would've been more compelling if the mayor had to pine for a bit while Dusty's emotions caught it. I also would've liked for romance to come before sex and maybe make it a little more of a hurdle to overcome between them, not out of lack of want but simple nerves and new experience
