clairesse 's review for:
Swann's Way
by Marcel Proust
At first I struggled. I hated this writing style. 'How can he put so many adjectives to one meaningless object?!' At last, still not a fan of Proust, but I enjoyed it. When it came to chapter 2, the emotional, vivid action began and I must admit those characters were described so precisely, that you could feel every aspect of their personality. Overall? Not too bad, can't give up at the beginning.
By the way the plot reminded me of 'Lalka' by Boleslaw Prus (what a name coincidance haha).
