 Rouge is a loose reimagination of Moulin Rouge and Camille, set as a mafia romance in modern day Las Vegas. Of all of the works in this series, I was the least familiar with these source materials, which made for more surprise at each twist and turn. There were so many times I was shaking my head at the FMC’s stubbornness and wanted to reach my hand through the pages and strangle her, but the frustration was worth it as it all came to a satisfying conclusion by the end.
