Honestly I was not expecting to love this book so much. It was so poetic and touching. He wrote with such amazing imagery. Also, I usually don’t put this movie in my “ugly cry” category because although their last several years together were devastating, unlike most sad romance movies, they had a full, beautiful life (and in the movie) the die in each other’s arms so like yea I saw it as a beautiful ending and best case scenario for the circumstances of her condition. But this book??????? You hear Noah’s narration as an old man and him grappling with the devastation of slowly losing his wife in much more detail than a film ever can. I literally ugly cried for the last quarter of the book. Like UGLY CRIED. Wow!!!!!!
