Starling House
by Alix E. Harrow
The house is a very active character in the story. It shifts, it dreams, it remembers and grows.
The feeling is like a nightmare come to life with only one person between the evil and the rest of a town that may, or may not deserve saving.
This is the 3rd book I've read recently with the house as a magical entity nicely done.
