olipop607 's review for:
Autoboyography
by Christina Lauren
Alright so want to start of by saying I was not raised Mormon but rather I was raised Baptist so that could have effect of my over all review of this book.
I have spent a long time looking for a queer book that also deals with religion and how those two things go together and I thought I found that is this book. I was sadly wrong in that regard. I felt like while the book did have a lot of strong aspects what it lacked was a realistic view of how the church sees sexuality. I felt like the characters sexualities weren't accurate. One of the characters was meant to be the gold boy of the mormon church but we don’t really see any real signs of that in the book. As a whole I just felt like the book wasn’t all that accurate.
