Ten Women Who Changed Science and the World by Catherine Whitlock, Rhodri Evans

4.0

As the title suggests, this work features ten concise biographies of women who proved revolutionary in their fields. Each chapter offered unique anecdotes, sharing the path each woman had to traverse as she gained notoriety in her particular area of science. Though the bios were a little short for my taste, I learned quite a bit from each, and they gave me a good idea of which women I'd like to read full biographies of in the future.
I liked how the authors included scientists from a wide range of fields, including some I had never heard of before reading this book.

I would recommend this for anyone interested in dipping their toe into nonfiction, but not quite ready to commit to reading several-hundred page biographies of each individual. If I was a teacher, I would absolutely have this in my classroom as a resource for high schoolers.

I recieved a digital advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
