This is how you end a trilogy!

Legend didn't caught my interest as much as Prodigy and Champion did. I'm happy i didn't stop with the series because the turning of events from Prodigy to Champion was definitely heart gripping! It starts from the supposedly assissination of Anden, the traitors in the Patriots, Day's allegiance to the Republic, the war with the Colonies, Day's failing health, Eden and June being the cure for the plague, the fake surrender to the Colonies, and the most heartbreaking part when Day almost died, losing some of his memories and the bittersweet yet heartwarming ending. The story seriously got better with each books.

Aside from the plot, Day's character was also one of the things that kept me reading. He was just a boy who grew in the poorest sector of LA then became the most wanted criminal who eventually lost everything he has and suffurred in the hands of the Republic. But being the rebel that he is made him the people's hero. He is loyal and willing to fight what is right, and ready to sacrifice everything even his own life just to save the country who once caused him a miserable life. He is probably one of the best characters out there on Dystopian books, well at least for me. I seriously bawled my eyes out when he was shot, i thought he was going to die but part of me was desperately hoping he will make it. Thanks Marie Lu for not betraying me.

I salute you for writing a great ending for this unforgettable trilogy. I understand now what the hype was all about.
