And They Were Roommates is a fun read. The characters are so nerdy and goofy.
I thought the guys writing love letters was so cool. I enjoyed the bording school setting.
I feel like you can't take it too seriously or you won't have as enjoyable of an experience. There were times where I was thinking "wow that's such a dramatic reaction to that situation" but they are teenagers so they're kind of like that.
I personally would not be friends with Charlie or Jasper irl. But they were funny to read about.
There is kissing - their teeth knock together, but that's as detailed as it gets.
Charlie is afraid of getting caught and outed for being transgender, but there is no negative reactions to him being trans in the book.
There are more critiques I could make if I thought about it harder but overall it was just fun and I enjoyed it too much to care.
