4.5 stars. Finally finished this very long audiobook! I enjoyed learning more about how Londeners lived during The Blitz, and how Churchill led the country during his first year as Prime Minister. Though the account of a single year was quite detailed, the author switched back and forth between various firsthand accounts so frequently that I rarely found it dull. I enjoyed this enough to seek out Erik Larson’s other two BOTM selections as soon as I finished this one! Would definitely recommend for those looking to learn more about this period in history.
