Juniper & Thorn

Read for the Orilium Spring Readathon 2025 Prompt: Elemental Studies • Fruit on the cover
Frankly, I am amazed that I managed to finish this. Luckily the last like, 70% really flew by and I was able to read it all within a couple of hours. I feel rather conflicted about this honestly, I really didn't mesh with the writing style and didn't find myself caring that much about the characters or enjoying what was going on, and I was fully prepared to DNF it but now here we are and it's been completed.
I wish this was better, or I suppose perhaps just that I enjoyed it more. I really feel like I was meant to love this, or at least care about it but I just don't.
