I really wanted to like this but the flaws that I read outweighed my overall enjoyment. The plot is clever having two “used to be” best friends fake-date to make Levi’s ex want him back and June’s business boom/make her ex leave her alone. A consistent issue I have with this trope is the lack of communication. Pieces of this story is full of it 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ The overall message I got from this book is that both of their exes manipulated them to change for the better of their individual relationships. A side character literally spells it out for June in the end.

The found family, learning about June and Levi’s history, and the fake dates were the parts I LOVED. I did swoon for June and Levi’s banter and the soft touching moments they shared. Sana is an amazing character that really stands out and is a saving grace of this book.
