⭐️⭐️⭐️½ (3.5 stars)

I picked up God of Fury after seeing it recommended everywhere on social media, and while I can see why people are excited about it, my experience was a little mixed. To be fair, I haven’t read the rest of the series—I jumped straight into this one because of all the hype—so I definitely felt like I was missing some background information that probably would’ve made the story clearer and the characters more impactful.

That said, the writing is solid, and a lot of the scenes kept me fully engaged. The author has a vivid style that makes the world feel larger-than-life, and there were plenty of moments that had me hooked. Even though I was sometimes confused without the earlier context, the book was good enough that it actually made me want to go back, start from the very first installment, and experience the full journey properly.

As a standalone read, I’d give it 3.5 stars—enjoyable, but best appreciated if you read the series in order.
