Pretty Girls
by Karin Slaughter
I mean this book was pretty much all you could need in a murder mystery. It was interesting from the start, had good twists, was graphic in the way your stomach clenches, and wraps up nice in the end.
The only reason it wasn’t 5 stars was because some of the dialogue was hard to follow as to who was speaking, and I wouldn’t necessarily read it again now that I know all the twists.
I started this as an audiobook and then ran out of time and had to return it. The wait for this audiobook is crazy long, so I rented it in book form and finished the last half that way. The transition was hard, but the book was intriguing enough that I powered through. Would recommend the audiobook, that was solid and helped with the dialogue issue.
But this book was forked up in a good (?) way. A lot of manipulation. And the ending made me tear up.
Would recommend.
