Many people claimed this book is so much like Harry Potter but more gothic-y. I totally can see that but I wish its beginning and middle could’ve better but I can see it is slowly building up at ending. It got me curious for next book. Could this next book be more enthralling, perhaps? But I do really enjoyed main character’s relationship with his malefactor, Alastor. They’re the reason why I’m reading it. It is like Arthur and Merlin OR Eddie and Vemon relationship kind of thing.
