great end to the clocktaur wars duology! i really loved how gnole culture was fleshed out in this book, and how the main cast grew closer to each other. i loved learned edmund's character development the most though! what a cool guy. really hoping i get to read a book centered on him, as kingfisher alluded to in the acknowledgements. i also loved the part where caliban finally feels his god's presence again (as well as when he interacts with the wild god in the city). lastly,

the twist with brenner

was so good! that said, i am excited to get back into the saint of steel series, as i think kingfisher's writing is a bit more polished/less cliche in those.
