Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch

5.0

These have been on my radar for ages, and I don’t know why I waited so long. It’s very much in line with Neverwhere and Anansi Boys but also entirely it’s own thing AND a British police procedural so basically a whole list of things I love, with a really good cast of characters and a nice vein of humor and magic. Altogether a win and I am starting book 2 immediately.

1/21: reread on audio to make the daily walks better, and the narration was EXCELLENT. Started rereading Moon Over Soho in audio immediately.

12/23: audio again, long drive and wanted to get K into these. He liked it but decided he’d rather nap; I got invested all over again and listened the whole thing through. I forgot how much is established in this one, it’s jam-packed.
