It's baffling to believe this is a debut novel. With a level of depth of family dynamics and cultural identity that rivals Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club, If I Survive You is likely to become the next modern classic. This was my first book which encapsulated Jamacian, Black, and American culture, and I am now eager to expand my horizons further to find more.
