This was a fun read! There is great representation in this book. I love how there are so many young adult books focusing on LGBTQ+ youth and their experiences now. I think it's important that teens identifying with these communities see themselves in books.
I really loved the characters in this one. Charlie is awkward and shy and studious and is trying to keep a low profile. It saddened me that he felt like he needed to hide who he is, yet I am so glad that everyone he came out to at Valentine was so supportive.
Jasper and Charlie's dynamic was so good. I enjoyed reading about their interactions. This is a slow burn, so keep that in mind when you pick this up! It is done so well.
Overall, this was a fun story and had great character development. I truly enjoyed reading this book. If you're looking for a lighthearted romance, this is one to check out!
